whats wrong with ENGLISH

At this day and age whatever happened to traditional english which is slowly loosing its loyalists...yes everyones been guilty of using slangs while conversing and with the advent of mobiles the use of slangs has gone upto unbelievable proportions,add to it the shoertening of words..for ex nuthn for nothing...uff it makes for difficult reading...i am not blamin anyone, this many say is the requirement of the day.if this is the case i am very sure my children(thatwould be 15-20 years later)would have an option of choosing between traditional engish,slangs,sms english etc..

The other day i was conversing with my 13year old cousin,and he thought me something know as symbol english,i.e communicating with the use of symbols and words...and i must say i was in absolute splits.....below i am giving a few examples...Just Check This Out!!!

Very smart for sure but in many cases a very long way to say something simple - may come to be known as 'did not arrive early st(latest) verbosity' - if you get my ' sailing away with nobody at the wheel ' (drift) - mine is another version of course. It will never be released for public use! NO WONDER!

We in Indonesia also have a bit similar joke about English, we combine our local language with English.

  that sounds great,we in india too are quiet used to listening to hinglish which is a combination of english and hindi

I'll try to find you all again, but if I don't, well.... You can invite ME, and I'll likelyl accept. Can't have too many friends out here in blog land, right?

Oh, by the way, I saw, on one of your pages, can't remember which just now, someone said "it's a great way to kill time." Well, as a matter of fact it is, somteims, at least in a way. It might be ok for someone like me who's still just trying to get home for the weekend after being abroad for way too many days... But I think he's half right, anyway.

Oh. We're descending out of FL 35 (35,000 feet) for FL 31 in hopes of a little smoother ride over the Atlantic. Though I'm the one in the left seat just now, my co-pilot (a rather lovely woman), is flying the plane, as I just dropped half a cup of coffee in my lap and grabbed my, ummmmm, laptop to go check out the, um, weather in New York (our arrival destination), got blew off by a very lovely but sometimes unfriendly french lady, and here I am, still two hours out of New York, blogging.

Bloody unfriendly place sometimes, this blog business. I've been doing it for about five weeks and, well, it's been intersting, if not always fun. As for proper English, well, nan29 has an idea there. Though since I'm an American, educated in England past the age of 15 (with no spelling-checker for the blog kingdom), so, well... I guess I haven't a bloody clue as to what proper means with respect to language or spelling anymore.

Of course, I love the way the Brits talk; those from India and Paskistan of my aquaintance, too. But what's a Yank to do? Even if he spends pot-loads of time in flight or in Europe, he never really quite gets it? As for French, well, it's too long disused to be able to write in it with using my translator widget or the online stuff that's available. I often spell like a Brit, which is not so good if you're conversing with a Brit, or vice versa.

Man, my first year at school in England I almost flunked out just because of spelling. But, finally, they realised that I was there as a freakin' concert artist (or guest artist, something like that) -- and that I was, in fact, a Yank, so somehow the dons turned about and gave me very high marks indeed -- maybe just for trying to adapt to the divergence in... Spelling? Well, could be. Who knows?

Thing is, one never really adapts. Not completely. An American raised abroad is still something of a odd duck at times. Spells things like colors as colours... And well, I rather think that I should properly look to youz guyz for whatever assistance might be on offer in that line, from time to time, so far as both. What do *you* think?

So y'all check out my humble, ugly, blog on blog uk or blog.fr, if you care. I suppose I make a good enough friend if you can overlook the random spelling.

As for me, well, we never change our watches from Eastern Daylight Time, since that's where we're theoretically based, though the aircraft is American enough (or Eastern Standard time, when that's appropriate), since it really does confuse us much.

It's better to see morning light in France, even when it's 3:30 AM, my time -- if that makes any sense. At least my flight crew concurs. They do the same.

  hey,must say i would love to envy u..offcourse for what ur doing,someone who could fly and that 2 amongst such beautiful birds as u mentioned is somethin any1 would dream doing...keep it goin my friend,and yeah keep pourin the cofee as well,who knows u might find some to help u out...
  and yeah i'll surely visit ur site,here's a friend of urs who promises to b there 4 u.....hope we get 2 know each other better in the cumin days
